Now that Spring has well and truly sprung, I’m obsessed with the garden all over again.
I am a real gardener but have really suppressed this over the last year as lead up to renovations and renovations themselves meant living with a concrete/mud pit.
I’m planning our backyard now and it’s so painful to draw up what we want but not to be able to do it!
Definitely having a native garden centered around a brachychiton, preferably this one:
Here is one insitu – I’m sorry I don’t know who owns this lovely courtyard, I just pulled the image from the web and it didn’t have any information! Loving those pop n scott pots though.
One day I will throw in my day job (all of them!) and open a little garden nursery.
We have one of these (inherited it when we bought our house so it is pretty old). They are beautiful – especially when they flower, but be careful, ours is HUGE!
Thought they were really slow growing! I don’t think they flower in Melbourne it’s cold for them ☹ What kinda of feature tree do you love?
I love your plans and dreams!
It will be fun to watch your garden grow. I do understand gardening on a budget and how hard it is; however, you can be very selective in the plant choice that you make. The house is coming along nicely, though I suppose you feel like it is taking an eternity. As your spring comes on, we are awaiting fall. Soon. Very soon. Have a good week.
Spring is always a wonderful time to get into the garden and start gardening it will make such a change from doing renovations. Sarah x
